Here are some of our babies and a little about them. We hope you enjoy the pictures as much as we enjoy showing them to you!
Green-Cheek Conures (Pyrrhura Molinae)
The Green-Cheek Conure is one of the smaller conures. They are approximately 9 1/2 inches from head to tip of tail. They have a life span of about 25 years. The Green Cheek Conure is an excellent "first" bird. They are excellent pets for children as well as adults of all ages. The Green Cheek Conure makes a great apartment or condominium bird. They come in various colors such as the Normal Green Cheek Conure; mutations such as the Pineapple Green Cheek Conure, Yellow-sided Green Cheek Conure and the Cinnamon Green Cheek Conure which have received their coloring through breeding.
Whether male or female green cheek conures, these birds are very affectionate and they tend to thrive on their owner's attention. They will always acknowledge your entrance into the room. They adapt to training very quickly such as lie on the back in your hand. They also love to cuddle, as you can see from the above picture of Piney sleeping on her owner's neck.
They have a very high actively level. They need a lot of toys and attention to keep them satisfied and they love to take bathes!
Food: We feed our loveable Green Cheek Conure babies Zupreme Pellets - Small (Cockatiel size), and Egg Food on a daily basis along with fresh organic vegetables and fruit. They also love a treat of millet and Sunburst Fruits & Veggies mix which has died fruit, nuts, and veggies. They also have cuddlebone in their playpen along with a water bottle.
Caging: Green Cheek Conures are extremely playful and energetic so you will need a cage that can give them plenty of space for activity. I have my own pets in a 18 by 28 cage. They are also very inquisitive little fellows, so be sure you get a cage with bars that are no farther apart than 1/2 inch so they don't harm themselves.
Noise: The Green Cheek Conure is a very good bird for an apartment or condominium. In our experience with raising these precious little ones, we have found that Pineapple Green Cheek Conures are the quiestest. Next in line would be the Normal Green Cheek Conures, then the Cinnamon Green Cheek Conure and last the Yellow-sided being the noisest. The noise level between the different birds also varies according to personality. Like children, they all have their own personalities, likes and dislikes.
Nurseries: Below you will see a section on each variety of Conure showing any babies available with information on hatching dates and pictures.
Adults/Breeders: Below you will see a section on any adult birds and/or breeders that are available for sale. Any birds in this section will be proven breeders and are being sold only because I am making room for a different type of bird.

These are two of our hand-fed baby Sun Conures. They are just about weaned at the time of these pictures.
The Sun Conures have a brilliant coloring. They have a bright orange, red, yellow, and green body, with green and royal blue wings. They have a white ring around the eyes and a dark beak and feet.
All Sun Conures are bright with different mixtures of the color scheme. Sun Conures do not reach their full color until after their first molting. Baby Sun Conures that have more of the dark green coloring, will usually mature to a more red and dark orange, where the baby Sun Conures that have a lighter green will mature with a more yellow coloring. Sun Conures have a long tail that measures about 12 inches, with a life span of about 20 to 25 years.
Sun Conures are very affectionate and friendly little birds. Sun Conures love to play, and they love to be handled and cuddled. They also love to snuggle into a sleepy tent at night.
Sun Conures are capable of learning to speak but need to be worked with.
